Get on the Internet to get off the Internet!
You'll get invited to our Meetups as soon as they're scheduled!
“ We will meet at the shuttle bus stop. I will send out an email when closer to the event with my cell phone number. ”
We will meet at ~11:45am at 1900 Massachusetts Avenue NW, to catch one of the shuttle buses, which are running free for this event, around Noon.
The plan is to visit the following open embassies along Massachusetts Ave (via the "Green Line" shuttle buses; see map below):
Embassy of India
Embassy of South Korea
Embassy of Indonesia
Embassy of China (walk over to Connecticut Ave shuttle)
Embassy of Japan (waiting list; reservations full at this time)
Embassy of Australia (time-permitting, on our way to the Asia Festival)
After the embassy open house tour, if of interest, please join our group for the Asia Heritage Street Festival (see other event posting). We will walk/bike over to downtown (Pennsylvania Ave at 4th Ave) around 3pm.
If folks would like to bring a bicycle or rollerblades to make the trek even more fun, let me know or indicate in your RSVP. Hopefully it will be a beautiful day for being outdoors.
Cultural Tourism DC will provide free shuttles on May 17 from 10 am to 4 pm. Three shuttles will leave from 1900 Massachusetts Avenue, NW (Dupont Circle) and will loop Massachusetts Avenue, Connecticut Avenue, and 16th Street:
